The New Bedford Public Schools offers universal free breakfast and lunch to all students!

Visit our Parent Portal for the Monthly Menu

Breakfast and lunch will be available daily to every student in the New Bedford Public Schools, as well as Saint Teresa of Calcutta School, at no charge.

Our school district was selected to participate in new federal program that eliminates all meal fees, regardless of family income levels. This program was designed to serve more nutritious meals and save families money. Massachusetts was one of 10 states, along with the District of Columbia, to pilot the program. It is now available nationwide to communities that meet eligibility requirements.

We are so pleased that the New Bedford Public Schools included us to offer universal free meals in our school. We extend our gratitude to the New Bedford Public Schools for extending this tremendous opportunity to the Saint Teresa of Calcutta School children!

In order to ensure the safety of all our students and staff we request that any food brought into the school for snacks and/or lunches be free of all peanuts and tree nuts (this includes Nutella). The following website www.kidswithfoodallergies.org/choosing-safe-foods.aspx has a lot of helpful information on reading ingredient lists for food allergies. When using alternatives such as SoyButter, SunButter or Wowbutter, please make a note on the child’s lunch of what was used so that the teacher is aware.

Thank you in advance for your understanding and cooperation as our primary goal is to keep all students and staff members safe while at school.
