“We’ve been a part of the STOC community for the past 10 years with all 3 of our children attending this incredible school. The first thing that jumped out at us was how much the staff truly cares about the children. From extra help after school to parent-teacher conversations aligning on the individual needs of our children, staff members are always available to provide the support students and families need. They also go well beyond their role by supporting extra programs like the school play, debate club, chess club, and several other activities allowing kids to grow personally beyond the day-to-day academics.”

“Jake has only been at STOC for a month, in Pre-K4, but the growth I’ve seen already is incredible! Coming from a private daycare he didn’t really love, it’s such a relief to see him now excited to go to school in the mornings and eager to share stories about his day—both about what he’s learning and the fun he’s having. He talks about his teacher, Mrs. Sousa, with so much affection, which makes me feel both happy and reassured.

I also love the school community—it feels so kind, welcoming, and supportive. The communication has been wonderful, from email updates to photos on Facebook, and every staff member has been so helpful.

We are not a religious family, and I’ll admit I was a little nervous about how Jake might respond to the religious portion of the curriculum. But he has come home relaxed, curious, and even enthusiastic about what he’s been learning. He’s mentioned Father Chris by name and has told me about the morning prayer time, in a way that seems positively received. Seeing him embrace this experience so positively has been such a gift.

Thank you for everything you all do at STOC and I am proud to be an STOC momma!”

“All 3 of my children got their start at STOC formerly SJSJ. The school has provided an excellent environment for learning in both academics and faith. The kids are always put in a position to succeed. The constant communication between staff and parents is second to none. I have always known exactly where they stand throughout the year. We are really happy with this school!”

“My daughter, Saija, just started in Miss Carvalho’s Pre-K3 class, and we are absolutely loving it so far! Saija had been with the same daycare since she was one years old, so when she made the switch in mid-August to prepare for St. Teresa’s, I was a little nervous—especially with her moving from just two days a week to a full-time five-day schedule. But she is thriving, and I can’t thank you and your staff enough for helping make this transition so smooth.

We really love her classroom, and “Meet the Teacher” night was such a wonderful experience—it gave me a chance to connect with her teacher and see the space where she’ll be learning and growing. I also love that Saija gets to enjoy gym, art, and music class, and we’re very excited for her religion classes to begin next week!

I truly enjoy seeing the Facebook updates (although I would love to see even more pictures of the PK3 class and their activities ). I also would appreciate getting updates on how much Saija eats during mealtimes as I like to monitor her intake since she is such a picky little eater!

Thank you again for creating such a warm and engaging environment for Saija—we are so happy to be part of the St. Teresa’s community!”

“Mrs. Pontes is a prime example of someone going above and beyond the guidelines of a job. She always sees the kids with a smile on her face and a loving attitude. My daughter is adjusting to having newborn twin sisters . It’s been a difficult transition but Mrs. Pontes gives her individual attention and extra help when she needs it. She understands that the children have lives outside of school. Mrs. Pontes wants to make sure the kids are adjusting the best way they can! I’m so grateful that my daughter has Mrs. Pontes as a teacher and I can’t wait for my twins to have her as well! This picture was career day and Charlotte said she wanted to be her favorite teacher,  Mrs. Pontes.”

“We are so thankful for Mrs. Terceiro my son’s 3rd grade teacher. She has such an amazing way with the kids. Our son has shown such great progress this year and that is no doubt due to her amazing teaching. Taking the time to help him and giving him encouragement.  She has been such a tremendous help and influence on him and I’m sure all her students.  St Teresa of Calcutta is so lucky to have such a wonderful teacher on staff.”

— M. Lima

“Mrs. Serra is a shining example of what a principal should be.  She loves all her students, as her own, and they feel that love each day.  Her compassion and kindness are endless.  We are so grateful for all she has done for us and the whole school community.”

— E. Frasier

“My daughter Natalia has been going through a tough time with anxiety and big emotions at school, and both Mrs. M. and Mrs. Lima have been incredibly patient and understanding. They’ve done everything they can to support and comfort her, while also keeping my husband and me in the loop. We truly appreciate their kindness and care—it means so much to our family.”

“Mrs. Costa has been instrumental in making my daughter LOVE math! She is engaging and motivating making math FUN! She demands respect in and out of the classroom and the kids are happy to oblige. We thank her for all she does each and every day.”

“Mrs. Gracia was the preschool teacher when our son first started on his education journey.  She was kind, gentle, loving and nurturing. She reassured us every step of the way, that we chose correctly when choosing a faith based education. After all these years, our son is now in the 6th grade, she has maintained the same integrity we came to love. The love she exudes is unmatched and we are forever grateful for her!”

“I think that Mrs. T is a really awesome teacher and definitely should be nominated. I think so because she gets us to listen and pay attention by telling really fun and educational stories because if you teach a kid math and science the regular way, the chances are that they won’t remember it.
Another reason is because she taught us about fractions, hurricanes, and tornadoes. It inspired me so much that I decided to write a letter to the national hurricane center to ask to put my name on the hurricane list.
That’s why I 1,000,000,000,000% think she should be nominated. I know she works really hard at her job.”
