Catholic Schools Week, the annual celebration of what makes Catholic education special, begins the week of January 28th-February 3rd. We set aside this week every year to focus on what our students are accomplishing and to celebrate the community we have built to educate tomorrow’s citizens and church leaders. The theme of our celebration is “Catholic Schools: Faith* Excellence* Service.” The theme of our celebration is “United in Faith and Community.” The theme encompasses the core products and values that can be found in Catholic schools across the country. Not only are we teaching students to become future servant leaders, faith-filled disciples and enriched citizens in our communities, educators are growing with them. In Catholic schools, we are all learners, servants and leaders. These shared qualities are what make Catholic schools work. They are what make Catholic schools succeed.
The theme also focuses on key elements of Catholic education: faith development, academic excellence and dedication to service. These elements set Catholic schools apart from other educational options. They are why families make sacrifices to provide their children with a Catholic education.
Here at St Teresa of Calcutta School, we are excited to have this opportunity to show off what our students are learning and what they have accomplished. We invite you to share the wonderful things that are happening at our school with friends, neighbors, particularly those who may be considering a catholic Education for their own children. Please encourage them to contact us to schedule a tour and learn more about our school.
Also, please join us in saying thank you to our pastors, teachers, staff, administrators, PTO members, volunteers, and everyone involved in running St. Teresa of Calcutta School. Through their dedication and commitment, they make our school an excellent example of how catholic schools embody faith, excellence, and service.
